Dog Food and Treat Varieties

ORIGINAL PUPPY AND ADULT KIBBLE: Recommended for all stages of a dog's life, from the growing new puppy to the older active adult of all breeds.

Flint River Ranch Puppy and Adult Dog Food is highly palatable, easy to digest, and is the best puppy food on the market. It's easy to eat and quickly digests into the puppy's system. Some feel that a growing puppy should have more fat and protein; however, recent studies support our belief that too much protein can cause problems with their future growth. Water can be mixed with the kibble for young puppies.

All-natural, premium food is very rich and has little in useless fillers. If the puppy has a loose stool, or tends to eat grass or dirt, add cooked white rice (not instant) or vegetables to the food until the puppy's system adjusts. These foods add fiber to the diet which will firm the stool and also make the puppy feel more full.

ORIGINAL PUPPY AND ADULT NUGGET: The Nugget bite-size dog food is designed for larger dogs, and is baked in the shape of nuggets to provide a uniform size and shape. Each piece is nearly cube-shaped, about 1/2" square on one side and a little smaller on the other side. The nugget ingredients are exactly the same as the Kibble Puppy and Adult dog food.

SENIOR KIBBLE: The Senior formula is also oven-baked and made from the same ingredients as our Original Puppy and Adult Kibble, but is formulated so that it has 1/3 less protein and fat. It is recommended for overweight or underactive dogs; it is not recommended for senior dogs that are not overweight because they do not require the reduced protein and fat levels. Protein is 18% minimum and fat is 8% minimum.

SENIOR PLUS KIBBLE: The Senior PLUS formula is similar to the Senior Kibble, with the addition of glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate to help maintain healthy joint cartilage. For dogs that are not overweight, the Jubilee Wafers are a good source of glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate.

LAMB, MILLET, AND RICE KIBBLE:  Specifically formulated for those dogs that are allergic to corn, wheat, and/or chicken. Oven-baking and quality ingredients provide the very finest diet for food-sensitive dogs: premium quality lamb meat, menhaden fish, whole ground grains, grapeseed oil, flaxseed, rosemary, chelated minerals, natural tocopherols (antioxidant), along with probiotics and digestive enzymes.

TROUT AND POTATO (FISH & CHIPS) NUGGET: Another tasty option for food-sensitive dogs: Fish & Chips dog food doesn't contain corn, wheat, chicken, or rice. This food is baked in the shape of nuggets that are the same size and shape as our Nugget dog food: each piece is nearly cube-shaped, about 1/2" square on one side and a little smaller on the other side. The fish is frozen fresh and without additives, and it remains frozen until the time of production. Mixed tocopherols (active forms of vitamin E) are then introduced; tocopherols are used in place of synthetic antioxidant preservatives, such as ethoxyquin, BHT, and BHA.

DRYWATER KIBBLE: A moist food without the can; just add warm water, stir, and serve. Some of the special ingredients in the DryWater food are the freeze-dried vegetables that reconstitute to provide many nutritious benefits, including enzymes that are important for proper digestion. After reconstituting for a couple of minutes, the DryWater food looks like kibbles, vegetables, and pasta, with a thin gravy over all. And it smells so good that you'll want to eat it yourself! Dry packaging has advantages over canned packaging: there's no metallic taste, no wasted food or dried-out leftovers, and no smelly cans to dispose of.

JUBILEE WAFER SUPPLEMENTS AND TREATS: These wafers can be used to supplement your dog's regular food or as a special treat. They should be used as part of a complete care program as a dietary supplement. They contain chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine HCL, and are specially formulated for dogs to help inhibit cartilage degradation.

BONE-SHAPED BISCUIT TREATS: Healthy, all-natural treats your dog will love. They have no artificial colors or flavors, and contain essential vitamins and minerals. The Healthy Bone Treats are formed from a mixture of the Puppy and Adult Kibble and the Senior Kibble dog foods, and therefore have the same nutritional value as these foods. Fat and protein contents are between that of the Regular and Senior foods.

TROUT AND POTATO (FISH & CHIPS) WAFER TREATS: Flint River Ranch Trout and Potato (Fish & Chips) Wafers are a tasty treat option for food-sensitive dogs: they do not contain corn, wheat, chicken, or rice. Like Flint River Ranch dog foods, Fish & Chips Wafers are oven-baked, resulting in better nutrition, palatability, and digestibility for your pet.

LAMB, MILLET, AND RICE WAFER TREATS: These wafers are a specifically-formulated treat for those dogs that are allergic to wheat, corn, and/or chicken. Nothing has been spared with the quality ingredients, the blending, and the oven-baking manufacturing process.

Cat Food and Treat Varieties

HIGHER PRICE FOR CAT FOOD — Cat food is more expensive to make because there is more meat protein in cat food and meat is a more expensive protein than grain.

CAT AND KITTEN: For all breeds of cats and kittens. It is a chicken and lamb meal formula manufactured under carefully controlled conditions and temperatures, resulting in better nutrition, palatability, and digestibility for your cat. The many nutrients present in the cat's food are utilized efficiently when digested. High digestibility means your cat requires less food and produces smaller, firmer stools and less clean-up.

The amino acids provided by the chicken and lamb meal are the basic building blocks of muscle, skin, coat, bone, blood, and the immune system. The most important ingredient in a cat's diet is protein. The high-quality chicken meal provides taurine, an essential amino acid for cats, at much higher levels than the poultry by-products used in most cat foods. It is important for the eyes, heart, and nervous and reproductive systems. The fat source has no ethoxyquin—it is naturally preserved with vitamin E. Fats provide energy and include essentials for cell structure, hormones, enzymes, and fat soluble vitamins.

Diseases of the lower urinary tract (FLUTD, FUS) occur frequently in cats. A common cause of the disease is struvite urinary crystals. Typically, a diet that promotes the formation of urine that is acidic, and a diet low in magnesium is recommended for this condition. Flint River Ranch Cat and Kitten foods have reduced magnesium levels and a target urinary pH of 6.2. Fresh, clean water is essential in preventing urinary crystals and for general good health; cats often prefer to have water available in several locations. Also, keep litter boxes clean, and keep stress levels low.

The cat food is extruded with the addition of a baking process to give it the crusty texture. The high meat and fat content necessary in cat food makes it extremely difficult to completely oven-bake. In addition, cats prefer the crunchy, glassy, uniform shape with pointed edges created by the extrusion method.

SENIOR LITE: For all breeds of overweight or inactive mature cats. This food is not intended for kittens because they are never overweight and don't require a reduced-fat diet.

CAT AND KITTEN HAIRBALL MANAGEMENT: The solution to healthy and trouble-free hairball prevention for your cat! The reception to the Feline Hairball Formula has been enormous. If you're tired of dealing with unpleasant and marginally effective hairball solutions, this is the answer. It has the same ingredients as the Cat and Kitten food with added hairball prevention ingredients.

BONITA FLAKES TREATS: 100% shaved Bonita fish—a high-protein, low-fat treat.
