MSE Microbial Paste Probiotic Supplement contains a high concentration of probiotics, along with the addition of essential vitamins, in a paste form that is easily wiped on the food or directly in the pet's mouth if the pet is not eating.
Microbial Paste is recommended for sick or stressed pets. It is intended to be used on an as-needed basis for the duration of an illness or stressful situation. Sicker pets should receive larger doses and/or be dosed more frequently. MSE Microbial Paste can also be used preventatively before a stressful situation.
Microbial Paste has a similar concentration of bacteria as Liquid Rescue, but can be applied on gums and lips if the pet is not eating, or can be smeared on the fur if the pet is still grooming. Liquid Rescue is preferred for cats since they do not readily eat Microbial Paste.

| Feeding Instructions: Feed 25% of the full dose for 3-4 days, then increase by 25% each day after that until you're feeding the full dose shown below. Microbial Paste comes in a tube with a plunger marked with 1 cc graduations. Squeeze the paste directly on food. Microbial Paste is less palatable than MSE Daily Boost or MSE Natural Defense due to the addition of vitamins, which can taste bitter to some pets; some pets, especially cats, will not consume it voluntarily. If the pet is not eating or will not eat it on food, you may need to restrain the pet and squirt it directly into the pet's mouth or smear it on the gums or lips. The daily amount may be given throughout the day. | |

The dosage may be doubled for those animals that are very ill, severely stressed, and/or receiving antibiotics.
When receiving antibiotics, it is strongly recommended to feed probiotics at twice the usual rate
because antibiotics can kill probiotic microorganisms.
Do not give the antibiotic and
probiotic at the same time; they should be fed at least four hours apart.
Probiotics can prevent secondary infections and may help the animal recover
faster. Note: MSE Microbial Paste is not meant to be given at rates higher than three times the recommended dose for longer than a few days, as they contain vitamins that can accumulate and cause adverse effects. Doses higher than three times the recommended dose may be given to critically ill animals for short periods of time. | |
For best results, keep sealed and refrigerated (do not freeze). If stored properly, this product will remain viable for one year.
