We opened our online store at FlintRiver.com in 1998.
Because of the similarity in names, customers asked us for Flint River Ranch pet food,
which wasn't yet available online.
We'd never heard of it; we bought some for our pets, and they loved it!
What an amazing stroke of luck that the name we chose for our store
was a perfect match to an awesome pet food!
We were destined to feed pets! And we absolutely love what we do.
We love hearing about health improvements when pets eat our food. We're happy to share
all the information you could want about it.
We enjoy talking to pet parents, and love that
we're helping pets get healthier and stay healthy.
We sincerely believe we can make a difference in pets lives—not
only by providing healthy food, but also by ensuring it's safe, and by
keeping pet parents well-informed.
Sadly, Flint River Ranch went out of business in 2016,
but after 19 years of serving Flint River Ranch, we were determined to continue serving
oven-baked food that meets our high standards, so we decided to bake it ourselves!

Where is Pinto Canyon?
Pinto Canyon has a special place in our hearts because our family is from Marfa, TX and we
spent a lot of time along Pinto Canyon road and it's beautiful. We think the natural beauty reflects
the natural goodness of our food! And our dogs loved to chase jackrabbits there! (They never could catch any!)
Kim learned to drive on Pinto Canyon Road. Pinto means
"paint" in Spanish; the vast, wild, and lonely canyons are naturally painted with the yellow of sulfur, red of copper, and pale
green of limestone. It's gorgeous!
