Ruby at 4 Years

"I give, I give, Uncle!!" Ruby and My Daughter, Esa

Breed: Flat-Coated Retriever MixWeight: 60 pounds
Gender: Female
Favorite Food: Flint River Nuggets, of course! (and hot dogs!)
Favorite Activities: Chasing squirrels and bunnies (not interested in birds at all)!
Favorite Place to Sleep: On the couch, then on her bed, then at the foot of my bed on the floor, then in the middle of the living room...
Story: Ruby "came" to us as a lost dog... some friends found her up near Birchwood, Wisconsin. She had no collar or identification. My friends knew that I liked their dog very much, and Ruby resembled their dog, so they thought I might want to keep her. At the time I was a single mother of a 16 month old little girl, so I said that there was only one prerequisite to keeping her, and that was that she had to be "perfect." Well, to make a long story longer, she was and is...she was house-broken, not a barker, not a chewer, comes when called (mostly) and most importantly, was very good around my daughter... she officially became a member of our little family.
