Story: Jitterbug was rescued from a puppy mill and thanks to many wonderful people out there she got to me by way of a lot of volunteers all the way from Kansas to Sarasota, Florida. She had already had 2 litters before she was 2 years old (that we are aware of) and was in an unhealthy state. When we got her she was a very frightened, unhealthy, skinny dog who weighed in at just over 8 pounds. Today she is outgoing, robust and full of life and afraid of very few things and has doubled her weight! I want to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers out there who rescue animals and find them good homes. Every one of you provide a wonderful service. Jitterbug is a very special little girl and my husband and I can tell by her actions that she thanks us for taking her in and providing a happy, safe life now. All you volunteers out there we thank you and keep up your good work! Saving one dog won't change the world, but it will change the world for that one dog!
