"Aaarrrggghhh, a pirate's life for me!"
Blarney at 7 Years

Breed: Terrier MixWeight: 28 pounds
Gender: Male
Favorite Food: Chicken, chicken, and more chicken.
Favorite Activities: Guarding his toys from the cats.
Favorite Place to Sleep: By the front door, in front of his stash of toys.
Special Skills or Responsibilities: He's a great "alert" dog; barking at every sound in the neighborhood.
Story: Blarney was an "owner turn in" at the North Central Animal Shelter in Los Angeles. His previous owners wrote on the intake card, "Don't have time to care for." Blarney had no hair so his skin was a mess from flea bites and lack of good care. He was underweight, 16 pounds and assessed with "behavioral problems." He is the funniest looking, sometimes crankiest creature, but I took one look and fell like a rock. His hair is luxurious now (with the help of an allergist and good food). He was adopted out of the shelter on St. Patrick's day, and that's where he got the name, "Blarney," which suits him and that hilarious lower lip.
