Because Angel has a digestive problem, she eats the lamb-based food. Since Stripe is getting up in years, he is fed the senior plus formula. I put individual servings of their food in plastic bags and mark Angel's. When we arrived at the motel room late, I fed each dog in their separate bowls. Angel kept going between her bowl and Stripe's bowl, which she knows she is not allowed to do. And to our surprise, Stripe showed very little interest in his food. Neither ate their food that evening. In the morning, the unusual routine started again and I would scold Angel for messing with Stripe's food while at the same time encouraging Stripe to eat. In the daylight, I could see that the food in the two bowls look exactly the same color so I inspected the remaining plastic bags and noticed I had mistakenly put Angel's food in both bowls. I replaced the food in Stripe's bowl with his normal food and set it down. Immediately, both dogs began to chomp down!
