Ed at 7 Years Brooke Ed Breed: Domestic Shorthair Cat Gender: Male Favorite Food: He loves Flint River Ranch food. He's going to be 8 years old this year and he's our resident scaredy cat. Very few of our friends have seen Ed because he hides when he hears a vehicle he doesn't know. The UPS guy knows him though. Ed knows he delivers the food! Brooke Breed: Domestic Shorthair Cat Gender: Female Favorite Food: Flint River Ranch Cat and Kitten food. Brooke (so named because her fur is colored very much like a brook trout) is in charge of everything and has been known to open the door to the porch and chew through the packaging and get to the new food when the UPS man delivers it... even though she has a whole bowl of food in the kitchen! Now we make sure the door is not only locked, but the dead bolt is on too... when we know a new bag of food is coming! Then she sits in her perch and stares out the window at the box until we get home and bring it in. We always have to keep the box around for a while too - she chases it around the house - running and then sliding on it on the carpet.
