Bear at 14 Years

Pooch at 11 Years

Carley at 2 Years

Breed: Labrador Retriever MixWeight: 75 pounds
Gender: Male
Favorite Food: Bear likes to eat everything!
Favorite Activities: They love being spoiled. They also love to take walks. They also like to eat and sleep too. They will be your friend forever if you scratch their ears. We call it "eargasm"! :)
Favorite Place to Sleep: They all like to sleep on memory foam cushions laid throughout the house. They enjoy sleeping on the furniture as well, just where ever they like it.
Story: Bear was a medical research dog adopted out after Anesthesia study. His age is a Vet estimate. He has replacement knees ($3500) because he was 94 pounds when we got him - now a slender 73 pounds and still losing due to half dog food and half carrot diet. He has bad arthritis but is doing very well with right diet, exercise, and meds. Vet says he could live to 20! I just bought ranch house so he won't have to do stairs.
In a nutshell the Vet calls our house "The dog resort." We never leave them for more than 2 weeks and they have an in house dogsitter. They are our kids. We find 3 is the perfect number for us and will always adopt full grown large mixed breed rescue dogs. We also financially support Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah and several other shelters. Our dogs bark and we encourage it for security but stop at the word "quiet."

Breed: Border Collie MixWeight: 75 pounds
Gender: Male
Favorite Food: Flint River Senior Kibble and carrots (lower calories for arthritis.) Fish and Chips Wafers for snacks.
Story: Pooch was a pound puppy abandoned at 8 months old because he wasn't cute anymore. We happened to go to same vet as people who put him in pound and found out his birthday is July 4th so we celebrate all three birthdays on July 4th too!

Breed: Belgian Shepherd Dog MixWeight: 75 pounds
Gender: Female
Favorite Food: Carley likes to eat the Flint River Senior and also wafers but with no carrots.
Favorite Activities: Carley has a major relationship with laser pointer. She can get the pointer out of my husband's pocket and uses her paws to turn it on. She can also open the pantry door so we had to move the wafers to the top.
Story: Carley was a street dog in east St. Louis rescued and fostered by Gateway Pet Guardians and adopted by us. She had a sexually transmitted uterine cancer but our Vet got it all and she has been clean for over 2 years.
